READY FOR A NEW SEASON

I hope this message finds everyone and their families safe and healthy during the winter months. With the recent weather fueling hopes of an early start to spring, normally I take a cautious approach knowing winter is likely not done yet. However, for whatever reason this year that is not my approach, as I am already excited (and impatient!) to get the new season underway.

The start of a new season brings with it the traditional sense of renewal and opportunity. It's a chance for our management team to game plan for the upcoming year and to set new goals, both individually and as a team. Already in the coming months, the team has an exciting lineup of events and social activities planned to keep you engaged and motivated.

We have welcomed new faces to our membership, and I would like to take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome all the new families that have joined Bayview in recent months. Congratulations on making a great decision to join!

I have compiled a list, along with Assistant General Manager and Director of Member Experience Alayna Lee, to assist new members during their onboarding. However, I believe these tips are relevant to all members:

  • Attend Events: Make it a point to participate in club events that will provide you with the opportunity to connect with fellow members.

  • Stay Informed: Keep an eye on club communications! That includes emails, social media, and the Bayviewer, to stay informed about upcoming events, announcements, and important information.

  • Provide Feedback: Member feedback can be an invaluable tool assisting Management in the overall operations of the Club and to better meet the needs of our members. If you have any suggestions, ideas, or concerns, please don't hesitate to share them with us.

  • Get Involved: Don't be afraid to get involved in club initiatives, events or volunteering for a committee that interests you.

On the topic of getting involved, and with our Annual General Meeting recently conducted, I also wanted to express my sincere appreciation to all of our members who volunteer their time and work tirelessly on behalf of the Club.  It is your efforts that form the cornerstone of our governance structure, a fact that was duly acknowledged and celebrated at our recent Committee Brunch.

In closing, I want to extend my best wishes to everyone for a fantastic season ahead. Join me in throwing caution out the window and look forward to an early start to the summer season! I do hope to see everyone out at your club soon.
